A spiritual practice for modern life

Inspired by his Javanese heritage and the belief that all life is connected, Andy created one practice that brings together strength training, mindful movement, breathwork, meditation and spiritual guidance.

It helps you return to your center and reconnect with who you truly are. And it doesn’t end with the class: what you learn becomes part of your everyday life.

Open to everyone, beginners included.

Four pillars, one center

In Javanese tradition, Sedulur Papat Limo Pancer, and in Balinese tradition, Kanda Pat, speak of four companions that accompany us from birth. At the heart of this symbolism is the relationship between the four companions and the self.

Inspired by this wisdom, ANVAJIVA introduces four pillars to help you explore different aspects of your life, with you at the center.

  • Andy smiling in a warm embrace with a participant

    Connection

    What am I connected to?

Spirit. Find a deeper sense of meaning, belonging, and connection with yourself and the world around you.

  • Andy standing under a waterfall, eyes closed, palms pressed together

    Awareness

    What is happening within me?

Mind. Recognize your thoughts and patterns with greater clarity and understanding.

  • Andy working hands-on with a participant during strong breathwork

    Regulation

Can I stay present with what I feel?

Emotions. Learn to navigate your emotions with greater balance, responding rather than reacting.

  • Andy receiving a water blessing from a woman at a Balinese temple

    Integration

How do I turn understanding into action?

Body and daily life. Turn what you learn into meaningful actions, habits, and choices in your everyday life.

The Pancer: you at the center

You are the Pancer, the center that brings all four pillars together.

Life can pull you away from what matters. You lose your balance, lose sight of yourself, feel disconnected, and find your way back. Each return is an opportunity to reconnect more deeply with yourself.

Not something to achieve, but someone to be.

Each pillar follows four steps

  1. Understand
  2. Experience
  3. Embody
  4. Share

Connection, Awareness, Regulation, and Integration are ANVAJIVA’s modern interpretation, not the traditional names or direct equivalents of those four companions.

The lotus reminds us to awaken. The flame reminds us to illuminate. The center reminds us to return.

Urip Iku Urup: life is a flame. Become a light for others.

You were always enough. Sometimes, we just need someone to help us remember.

Meet Andy

I'm Hendhy Prasetyo, but you can call me Andy.

I spent almost 20 years in banking, chasing the life I thought would make me happy. A good career, recognition, a family. From the outside, everything looked great. But somewhere along the way, I'd started believing that my achievements were what made me valuable.

When that life fell apart, I found myself facing a question I'd never really asked before:

Who am I when I have nothing left to prove?

I found my way back through fitness. I started helping people at the gym, and as they grew, I grew with them. For the first time in a long while, I had a sense of purpose that had nothing to do with titles.

That's what I bring into every class today: movement, breathwork, meditation and the Javanese wisdom I grew up with.

I'm not here to tell you who you should be. I'm here to listen, walk alongside you and give you the space to discover that for yourself.

In their words

  • Hi Andy, I just wanted to say thank you so much for being there for me and supporting me when I was dealing with all the anxiety and pain that came up for me during this process. I feel as though i have gotten through the worst of it and i can handle anything if it comes up now. Thank you so much. I will see you in class later!

  • Morning practice sets me up for the day and evening fixes me up for much improved sleep.

  • Your insight, your energy, and the way you hold space has left a deep mark on me. You helped me open the doors I didn’t know were there, especially in spiritual work, the energy field, and understanding the depth of my gifts. I’m deeply grateful for your presence, knowledge, and the way you see people.

  • I am compelled to express my deep appreciation for the impact he has been having on my body and mind journey and personal attempt for transformation.

    Dimitra Mikou
  • Note to self: Feeling peaceful and connected. What a relief to know that I don’t have to be perfect, my movements and and expressions during practice don’t have to be perfect. What a blessing to be able to feel and acknowledge my own growth. I’m thankful for the peace I’m feeling, which surprises me, because life has suddenly gone up a gear. The old version of me would have ignored, avoided or discarded the discomfort. This version is ready to accept and do what is needed to move through this season, it feels really good to think like this.

  • “It is the first time in decades that I slept without any medication. An outstanding instructor!”

  • “You are the key for every single thing that I achieved.”
